Jill is the Artistic Director and co-founder of Lila Theatre. She was the founder of the three person improvisational ensemble, Road Dawgz, where she performed with Dan Fogler (Balls of Fury, Kung Fu Panda) and Law Tarello (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) throughout NYC. Jill’s Bay Area performance highlights include Sacrifices and Transformations, Life and Adventures!, God Put A Smile Upon My Face (her one-woman show), and The Razowsky Project, collaborating with the Artistic Director of The Second City (Los Angeles), David Razowsky. Jill has a B.F.A. in acting from the University of Florida where she first trained with the nationally recognized college improvisation troupe, Theatre Strike Force, under the direction of Heather Roberts Parady. She has taught improvisational theatre at Stanford University (GSB), the University of Chicago (GSB), San Francisco Day School, Lila Theatre, and Rising Stars. She has performed in the Big Stinkin’ International Improvisation Festival (Austin, TX), and has studied with some of the best from Upright Citizens Brigade, The Second City, Improv Olympic, and Annoyance Productions. |
Marcus is the founder of Shades of Grey and a San Francisco based actor. He was a member of the critically acclaimed improv group, Oui Be Negroes, where he performed at improv festivals around the country and in the San Francisco Improv Festival a total of three times. Marcus received his B.A. in Theatre Arts from CSU, Chico in 2004 and was the director of the CSU’s improv ensemble, Wandering Minds. Currently Marcus performs in plays, improvised shows, industrials, commercials and films. He directed and produced a monthly improv jam/show, Temenos for the Lila Theatre as well as performed in over 12 of their shows. He also teaches improv workshops to children in middle and high schools as well as to colleges and universities. Along with improv Sams also does commercial and industrial and film work in the Bay Area. One of his recient films was the critically acclaimed mockumentary Unflinching Triumph; the Philip Rockhammer story. Unflinching Triumph was highlighted by the Wall Street Journal as a new media 'top 5 what to watch' and Sports Illustrated hailed it as 'the most amusing parody on the web'.
