Julie Potter comes to us from the far away land of Bakersfield, CA. She has been performing for anyone who would listen since she was knee high to a pick-up truck. She graduated from Cal State Bakersfield (yes they have a college) with her B.S in Kinesiology in 2002. So if you need tips on your jump shot or you’re curious about the Krebs cycle she’s your gal. Last year Julie took an amazing opportunity to study abroad in Amsterdam. While biking around the cobble stone streets she discovered a little Improv Club called Boom Chicago. She immediately fell in love with the stage and knew she had to be on it. After a series of classes and performances Julie headed back to the bay. She has been in fierce pursuit of her comic glory ever since the plane landed. Besides the mind numbing craft of improv Julie also does stand-up comedy, but truth be told her first love is rap, so if you drop a dope beat she’ll bust a sweet flow. Julie is in awe of the spirituality and imagination that the Lila Theatre Company provides. She feels truly blessed to be apart of this extraordinary group of people and is whole heartedly ready to experience Divine Play.
