DORIT PERRY is thrilled to be returning to theater-related activities after a long hiatus.  After college, she studied and pursued acting in Los Angeles, and studied comedy improv at The Groundlings. She remembers her time at The Groundlings fondly, especially a chance encounter with Mike Meyers at the little McDonalds next door.  In addition to being a part of the new Lila Theatre Conservatory, she is also studying movement-based, autobiographical, improvised storytelling with local Bay Area performer, Nina Wise.  Dorit feels constantly humbled by improv’s demands to be in the moment, listen, and accept.  She has a B.A. in Communication Studies from UCLA and an M.A. in East-West Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. She currently manages junior high school students to do conflict resolution work with each other – a position imbued with its own theatricality.  Dorit loves to dance, speak and learn other languages, and dreams of starring in her own one-woman show.
